Age Limit
- Minimum Age Required : 20 Years
- AFCAT Flying Batch 20-24 Years
- Ground Duty Technical / Non Technical 20-26 Years
- Age Will Be Calculated As Per : 01-July-2024
- Flying Branch: Applicant age should be at least 20 years and the upper age is capped at 24 years for flying branch. The upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable for up to 26 years. The candidates must have been born between 02-Jan-2001 to 01-Jan-2005.
- Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: For ground duty, the minimum age is 20 years and the upper age limit is capped at 26 years. The candidate must have been born between 02-Jan-1999 to 01-Jan-2005).Note: Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course. Widows/Widowers and divorcees (with or without encumbrances) below 25 years of age are also not eligible.

AFCAT Exam Pattern 2024
AFCAT written test is the only criteria for clearing the first stage for non-technical candidates; But AFCAT+ EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test) for technical candidates.

Interview Process
i) Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for AFSB interview on their E-mail or through SMS as provided by candidates in their application form. You are advised to maintain your mobile number and e-mail ID till selection process is complete.
ii) AFSB interview will be conducted in two stages. Stage I test consists of Intelligence test, Picture Perception and Group Discussion. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II test comprises Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview which will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx duration 03-05 working days).
iii) Change of AFSB venue for interview is not permissible.
iv) Any correspondence regarding further change of AFSB date is to be addressed to the Call up Officer of the concerned AFSB. Award of fresh dates for AFSB would be subject to availability of batches/slots.
v) No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained as a result of tests.
vi) AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the AFSB interview, if appearing for the first time for particular type of commission on production of tickets. Candidates are required to carry photo copy of the first page of bank passbook or cheque leaf where the name, account No. and IFS Code details are mentioned while appearing for AFSB.

All India Merit List
At final step An All India Merit List will be declared. This list is compiled on the basis of your performance in the written test and AFSB interview, subject to being medically fit. Also the merit list depends on the vacancies available in various branches / sub branches, joining instructions are issued to join one of the Training establishments.
